I’m a Veteran who served from 1989-2008 in the USAF, and was introduced to the Dinar while in Iraq in 2003-2004, while living in a tent in Baghdad for about 5 months. Locals would have times when they could sell their goods to the troops, and that’s when and where I bought my first Dinar. I found the locals to be very kind and friendly.
Fast forward… 2010. After I left the service I started to use an old skill I went to school for in the 80’s… recording/engineering. I produced an EP and then an LP (record album) of songs in hopes to provide income for my wife and 2 children. Money trickled in but not near enough to allow me to do that job full time. So I found some authors and started to produce audio books. That helped for a time until that too, just wasn’t enough.
Fast forward to now…
Recently I’ve been driving a cab for a little over a year, and something most people don’t know, is that there’s a lease involved when driving a taxi. For me it was just under $70 a day and so, the first half (or more) of the day went to paying that lease, and whatever was left over, went to me. I quit there yesterday. It had become so stressful for me financially, that this past weekend I was in the hospital with Stage 3 hypertension. My blood pressure peaked at 206/132 and there were moments I felt my speech starting to slur. Thankfully they immediately put me in the ICU and a few days later I came home with much lower blood pressure, and meds for it.
So, I’m writing to see if people would be willing to buy my music at CDBaby and iTunes as a kind gesture of acknowledging my service with the military. If enough people did that it would help me, my wife, and our 3 children tremendously. I was a day from having my phone shut off, and ended up exchanging all my Vietnamese currency at the bank just to pay that and some other late bills. So that’s where I’m at. My goal now is to work full time at home producing and recording projects for myself and others.
My Album is Ambient Autumn and I’d like to thank all of you in advance for checking it out.
email@example.com is my Paypal if you’d rather do that.
